As the driving force behind on-site operations, the Site Manager takes charge of leading, coordinating, and optimizing all aspects of client site management, transportation logistics, and customer service—ensuring everything runs smoothly, safely, and with customer satisfaction at the forefront.
Job description

YOUR CORE FOCUS AREAS:
Team Management:
• Lead, manage, and supervise team members.
• Motivate, organize, and encourage teamwork within the workforce to achieve productivity targets.
• Conduct monthly meetings with all staff and submit minutes to the client.
Client Coordination:
• Manage the client handover, delivery, and de-briefing of jobs/stock.
• Ensure Next Day Plan is checked and signed off with the client.
• Address and resolve all client concerns promptly, providing timely feedback.
Operational Planning:
• Create and sort all manifests and delivery notes.
• Effective load planning and space bookings.
• Coordinate and execute load instructions and dispatch planning as per customer requirements.
• Follow up on urgent deliveries.
Health, Safety, and Security:
• Maintain health and safety standards within the work area.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory standards.
• Implement and enforce security protocols and procedures based on client site expectations.
• Conduct routine floor walks to ensure compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure the security and accountability of our own cage/equipment.
Reporting and Documentation:
• Submit a daily dispatch report.
• Compile a recon of jobs from the previous night.
• Ensure accurate and timely capture of wages, reconciling with client and internal systems.
• Ensure all activities (litres used, km travelled, hours worked) for all staff are reconciled weekly with the client.
Problem Identification and Resolution:
• Identify and report problem areas.
• Implement corrective actions to resolve operational issues.
Vehicle and Delivery Management:
• Ensure vehicle details are submitted to relevant parties.
• Oversee and ensure the effective and timely dispatch of deliveries.
Staff and Attendance Management:
• Ensure staff attendance is accurately recorded and manage.
Customer Service Excellence:
• Ensure high standards of customer care.
• Review customer feedback and perform quality checks.
Asset and Inventory Management:
• Maintain and manage branch assets, including equipment and vehicles.
• Ensure proper maintenance and tracking to prevent downtime and ensure efficient use.
• Ensure the security and accountability of our own cage/equipment.

Minimum requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Matric.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office. 
• Proven experience in a supervisory/ management role. 
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Proficient in load planning and dispatch coordination.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and security regulations.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with reporting and documentation processes.
